We accept trade-ins of mobility scooters and power wheelchairs, whether faulty or in working order and can accept trade-ins from anywhere in on the mainland only in England, Scotland and Wales.
If you have something to trade-in, please click here to submit your details for a fast quotation.
After proceeding to checkout, you will be prompted to enter your shipping information. Underneath this section is a form, allowing you to simply tick the vat-exempt declaration box and specify the primary long-term illness or disability that either yourself, or the person you are buying for suffers from. VAT will then automatically be removed from your order as you proceed. Charities are also exempt from paying VAT, and can do so by simply ticking the relevant box.
The answer is yes, so long as either yourself, or the person you are purchasing the goods for are chronically sick or have a disabling condition, and the goods are for personal/domestic use only. Charities are also exempt from paying VAT, and can do so by simply ticking the relevant box, and entering their charity number. This number will be quickly verified by us before dispatch of your order.
If the person the goods are intended for does not have any specific long-term medical conditions, by law they must purchase (and proceed through checkout) without applying for VAT exemption. If you have a short-term injury, or simply use the term 'old age', this would not make you eligible. Any organization that does not have a registered charity number (such as businesses) are also not exempt from paying VAT.
Within 2-3 working days.
Yes you can collect from our premesis in Derbyshire, just make sure you call us before ordering to arrange an appointment to come and collect. We can have your Power Chair ready to drive for you to take away with a demonstration, with or without the box as you wish.
With the exception of carbon fibre powerchairs which are light enough to send with DPD, we use palletways to deliver to prevent damage in transit. They will text you (provided you leave a mobile number at checkout) with a 2 hour timeslot once your Power Chair has been loaded onto the final delivery truck on the day of delivery.
When the driver arrives, as this is a secure pallet delivery, the drivers are not insured to take the item across the threshold to your property (this is known as a kerbside delivery) and will leave it as close as possible to your property entrance - you are responsible for taking the Power Chair off the pallet and inside.
In the majority of cases, depending on which depot is local to you, most drivers can take the pallet away with them if you ask.
We deliver to the Great British mainland (England, Scotland & Wales) only. We can also deliver to any GB outlying islands for an extra courier fee, please call us to check before ordering. As an example, Isle of Wight generally costs approximately £40 extra for delivery.
We will offer to replace the Power Chair without quarrel, so long as you notify us within 48 hours of the Power Chair being tracked as delivered. We may also offer you a discount or to send the parts if the damage is cosmetic only, however it's your decision as to whether you accept this, or ask for a complete replacement, or collection for a full refund.
14 days starting from when the Power Chair tracks as being delivered.
Head over to our contact page and submit a message quoting your order number, return reason, and contact details, and we will respond with instructions.
Once your return is authorized, you can either:
Note that if you are returning the Power Chair because it's developed a fault within the first 14 days, the returns collection service cost is covered by ourselves. If the Power Chair develops a fault after 14 days of taking delivery, please check our excellent warranty policy on the next tab for details.
We only charge restocking fees when absolutely neccessary in the following scenarios:
Any restocking fees charged are only used for, and proportionate to, the cost of restoring a product to a resealable condition.

With many moving parts and exposure to scrapes, bumps, hills and the weather, it's important you have a clear understanding about how you're covered in the event of a breakdown.
Warranty is included as standard for the first year, and covers something going wrong with the product. Insurance is completely optional and similar to car insurance, provides cover for accidents, such as theft, user-caused damage, and the consequences of an accident such as injury.
Free 1 Year parts & labour cover for mechanical or electrical faults.
The 'Standard' insurance option covers loss, damage, legal liability for injuring others, breakdown recovery, loss of keys, personal injury and loss of belongings, hire costs while waiting for repair, plus cover for mugging.
If you choose to opt-in when ordering, we can offer 1 month of plus insurance free of charge. Many customers choose this option as it gives peace of mind while you spend the first month getting used to your chair, in the knowledge there is no automatic renewal and therefore no unexpected direct debit when the month ends, instead the insurer, Mark Bates Ltd, will be in touch to check if you want to renew. You can view full details on the free insurance in the IPID here.
'Plus' insurance adds cover for punctures, legal cover if someone else hits you, automatic cover for any manual wheelchairs you own, pet and dental cover, and any driver using your Power Chair being automatically covered. You can view the full breakdown of the things covered by standard and plus insurance in the IPID here.
Yes, up to a maximum of 5 years total, and you can also renew the warranty next year when the first year expires, in case you didn't want to add the extra cost up-front.
Powerchairs are complex machines and on average cost us £150 under our warranty scheme for each repair when you combine our collection costs (around £70 per item), another £45 on delivery when we send it back to you repaired, and around 90 mins of labour costs.
Charging this deposit only when the fault isn't obvious ensures we at least cover the collection portion of our repair costs (less than half) when no genuine fault (user error) is found. We make no profit on this and the whole deposit pays our courier for the collection job. We still cover the labour time and return carriage costs ourselves (unless user damage is discovered).
Yes, however for the same reason we describe in the repair collection deposit explanation above, the costs vary depending on whether you can bring the Power Chair to our workshop, or need it collecting and dropping off again
Glide smoothly over any surface with our advanced omnidirectional wheel, making movement feel natural and effortless in every direction.

New to the market and highly anticipated, the E60 Pro from Robooter is here to demolish barriers. Traditional folding powerchairs simply don't compare.
Even beefier than the E60, the E60 pro upps all wheels to 12 inches, unseen before on any folding powerchairs and when combined with the omni-wheels and huge suspension, for the first time we can confidently say this an 'all terrain' powerchair, capable of climbing 8-10cm kerbs with ease while turning on a dime effortlessly. We simply can't understate how much more manouverable and stable this makes a folding powerchair while outdoors and how ideal it is for the more adventurous user that still wants to be able to pack something down to fit in the back of a campervan or large car.
Please be sure to read through the entire list of features below - There are many!
Omni wheels means the castor stays fixed forwards, while the small wheels that make up the overall structure roll left and right when you want to turn. This results in a much more stable chair, that also eliminates the issue you find on normal chairs where the castors have to swing round (and sometimes get stuck) to the direction you want to go.
Fixed omni-wheels on the front also allows for much chunkier suspension. This makes the E60 incredibly sturdy, and able to tackle uneven terrain and up to 8-10cm kerbs with ease.
The E60 has cleverly-integrated adjustable-width armrests, and a multi-point adjustable reclining backrest, between 8-38 degrees.
As standard the E60 comes with a 20ah high-quality lithium battery that produces an impressive range of 14 miles. An optional 12ah Airline-Friendly battery is also available to buy as an accessory.
The E60 features a beautiful joystick with an LCD display and smart features such as lock, and e-freewheel, meaning you don't have to bend down to manually disengage the motor levers to push the chair.
Pair your phone with the E60's app in the app store to allow remote control, driving and settings access!
Again, more features are integrated in the most stylish way possible. A bright flashlight with touch controls is found in the offside arm-rest, with a USB output for charging your phone on the go.
Supremely practical, the E60 features a beautiful integrated rear backpack that can store a large amount, and an additional easy-access large basket is found under the seat.
The E60 folds in seconds via release catches found on the sides of the seat, allowing compact storage in your car boot, plane, train or cupboard.
